Deirdre Loughridge is a music historian and cellist. She is currently an ACLS New Faculty Fellow in the Music Department at the University of California, Berkeley, where she teaches on such topics as the history of music and technology, the symphony and film music. She received her PhD in musicology from the University of Pennsylvania in 2011.
